Heck yeah photography.

Photography never fails to amaze me at all costs. I mean, it's a form of expressive art wherein you whip out your camera and shoot whatever you like. There could be a hundred stories behind one picture, and it's more expressive than poetry itself. Photography
is poetry.
I myself am a fan of photography. It's just a matter of perspective, of angles, of lighting. Honestly, my secret to great-looking photos is macro. Macro's kind of my secret weapon since it magnifies your subject and blurs the background. It kind of distinguishes what you really want to show your audience. Plus, macro helps in the lighting. These two orchids grew out of the old tree in front of our Bicol home, and I just couldn't stop myself from capturing this very brief moment. Look at what macro did to the picture. It implies a description too deep for me to fish out. I believe that there's an explanation for the picture, but words fail me every single time I look at this image. It's supposed to tell you about the simplicity of life and how it affects human beings (or something like that), but whenever I see this picture, I just stare in awe.
There's just one thing I don't get: people look at photography as if it's some sort of just a 'talk-of-the-town'. They think that when they appreciate and learn to love photography, they're 'in'. Honestly? They don't even have tastes in choosing the right angles and such, so why appreciate photography when they don't even have the guts to take their own pictures?
Another form of photography is
lomography, which is very in these days. I've set my eyes on an ActionSampler, a type of lomo camera that takes still shots of fast action. It's colorful and I think I can use it for, uh, the good of mankind or something like that. So there.
Thought for the day (before I finally sleep and get ready for the intramurals tomorrow, which is sick):
A digicam is enough for a budding photographer.
